This has been a real plus for a road warrior! I can charge my phone and iPad at the same time, charge in places without AC or DC power, like on a plane or in areas of the airport where there is no AC access. It has been great to extend the life of phone or iPad battery and is very versatile. It has been fun to take outdoors on hikes; it's really interesting to have a battery reserve in remote locations, and one you can keep "topped off" just by keeping it in the sun. Definitely is reassuring to know you can maintain communication for long periods in any circumstances. Very highly recommended!

Love the fact that there are so many ways to charge this battery and that it's rather eco-friendly. Unfortunately it is really big (6" x 3.5") and somewhat heavy. The solar panel didn't work well for me. I left the unit in the sun for 8 hours and it would only charge half way but not fully. What good is that?
I'd defintely give them another look if they would eliminate the solar panel (which I don't need) and make the unit smaller so that it doesn't take up so much space. Just getting rid of the solar panel will probably allow the battery to be much smaller & lighter. I was always worried that I'd drop the unit and the glass covering the solar panel would crack. I relly liked the fact that you can plug this directly in the a wall outlet without the need for an adaptor or separate charger.

I was excited about getting this battery to use on my boat for my phone that drains a ton of juice. The battery never took a charge in full sunlight. So that was strike one. After charging my phone and tablet with it for a week or so the thing wouldn't even hold a charge anymore. Maybe the battery was just defective but it wasn't worth it to exchange it to find out. I returned the battery.
